Former GW Star Pops Mensah-Bonsu Catches On In New Orleans

Pops Mensah-Bonsu did something that might have seemed like an impossibility at the time, and is still hard to believe even afterward. He made the George Washington basketball team relevant on a national level. He might not be the best player in the school's history, but he is likely the player that has brought the most notoriety to the program.

After he left the school he bounced around from the NBA to the D-League, even playing a little bit overseas. Every year he seems to be in one NBA training camp or another trying to earn a full time job. Now it appears that Pops has found a home in New Orleans, via GW George.

Congratulations Pops on this latest opportunity. Hopefully you can continue to make D.C. proud and stick with the Hornets.
