Rockets Vs. Wizards: Washington Takes On Yao Ming And Struggling Houston

Stay connected for news and updates

The Houston Rockets have a worse record than the Washington Wizards. Believe it or not, it's true. At 1-5, the Rockets have been far worse than anyone expected this year. They have been a disaster defensively, which is odd considering Yao Ming is playing (albeit in limited minutes) again.

Tonight, these two struggling teams go toe-to-toe at the Verizon Center. It's a battle between a team better than their record (Houston) and a team worse than their record (Washington). It's a battle between the two biggest Chinese stars in basketball: Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian. It all is happening tonight on Asian Heritage Night at the Verizon Center.

The Wizards may be without the services of guard Gilbert Arenas, who reportedly had a setback in practice and is now a game-time decision with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, the Rockets will go without point guard Aaron Brooks, last season's Most Improved Player Award winner. Ishmael Smith will start in his place. In addition, Yao's status is always up in the air.
