Stephen Strasburg Throws Just 52 Pitches, Gives Up Two Runs In Fourth AAA Start

Stay connected for news and updates

Stephen Strasburg's fourth AAA start wasn't quite as solid as the first three. He gave up a run for the first time, and was pulled from the game in the fifth inning after 52 pitches. He wasn't bad, mind you, but he also wasn't dominating.

Strasburg's so-so performance raised his combined ERA in the minor leagues to 0.99, so he's still in great shape. There's an outside chance he'll start with the Nationals on May 29, but it's more likely his first Major League start will come on June 4. Good luck getting a ticket to that one.
