Stay connected for news and updates

According to Mike Vogel:

Nicklas Backstrom finished 10th in Selke balloting with 51 points.

Backstrom, only 22 years old, is coming off a season in which he posted a career best 33 goals, 68 assists, and 101 points, to go along with a +37 rating. He should be in the running for the Selke Trophy, awarded to the NHL's top defensive forward, for several years to come, as many believe he has yet to even enter his prime.

He was signed to a 10 year, $67 million contract this offseason.
