Half Smokes Hypothetical is a daily discussion where we throw out a D.C. sports-related question based on the news of the day. It's a hypothetical discussion, which is what makes it fun (we hope).
In case you didn't know, Redskins first-round pick Trent Williams is one of many rookies who remain unsigned. Mike Shanahan told reporters today that he's not concerned and doesn't expect Williams to miss "significant" time during training camp. He's right to be unconcerned, considering the circumstances.
But there may come a time when Williams will hold out for longer than he should. Today's hypothetical asks the following question:
When do you think that time is? On what date will you be concerned that Trent Williams has not signed a contract?

This time next week
If we’re still talking about it this time next week, I’ll be very concerned. I expect him to make it there this weekend if not sooner.
