Trent Williams Agrees To Six-Year Contract, Will Report To Training Camp

Redskins fans can breathe easily about the contract status of rookie offensive lineman Trent Williams. The No. 4 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft has agreed to a contract with the team, according to Jason Reid of the Washington Post.

Redskins top draft pick Trent Williams agreed to a multiyear contract early Friday and is expected to sign the deal and participate in practices today at training camp, said one of his co-representatives.

"We just got the deal done in the last couple of hours," said agent Vincent Taylor, who negotiated the deal along with Ben Dogra. "There are just a couple of things we have to still work out, a few details to work out, but Trent plans to be there [at Redskins Park] to sign it and get going."

The contract is for six years and $60 million, with $36.75 million of that guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Williams is expected to practice today.

The Redskins will now focus on signing quarterback Donovan McNabb to a long-term extension.
