Crystal Langhorne Named To WNBA All-Star Team

At a surprising record of 12-5, one could safely assume that at least one Mystic would be named to the WNBA All-Star team. Today, Katie Carrera of the Washington Post reports that all-star is Crystal Langhorne, who has done her best to fill the scoring void left by the injured Alana Beard.

Langhorne has continued to improve each season, winning most improved WNBA player in 2009 prior to being named an all-star. Best of all, Langhorne's all-star season has also included an increase in efficiency:

Langhorne continued to up the ante in 2010 becoming a more efficient shooter (59.2 percent) from a plethora of ranges and a more aggressive rebounder. Her reliable nature remains one of the biggest reasons why the Mystics enter the all-star break at 12-5 and in second place in the Eastern Conference.

Langhorne becomes the fifth Mystic to be selected to an All-Star game, joining Nikki McCray, Chamique Holdsclaw, Beard and Stacey Dales-Schuman.
