Redskins Training Camp: Albert Haynesworth Will Play In Preseason Opener

Albert Haynesworth continues to be listed as the second-team nose tackle, though he did play on the first team a lot today because Maake Kemoeatu sat out. Despite being in pads for just a week, he will play in the team's preseason opener against the Bills as the second-string nose tackle, according to Comcast SportsNet's Ryan O'Halloran.

Other training camp tidbids:

  • Chris Horton, aka "The Predator," will not play on Friday due to a groin injury.
  • Donovan McNabb will play only about 15-18 plays, according to Mike Shanahan.
  • Phillip Buchanan is listed as the team's punt returner, but won't return any punts on Friday.
  • Quarterback Richard Bartel will also miss Friday's game, which should give John Beck a chance to move up the Redskins' depth chart.
