NFL Preseason: Jets Score Game's First TD To Take A 11-9 Lead Over The Redskins

Stay connected for news and updates

It may have been a questionable move, keeping the starters in deep into the second half, but Rex Ryan’s gamble has paid off.

Jets’ tight end Dustin Keller hauled in a ten yard TD pass from Mark Sanchez as the Jets sneak out in front 11-9 over the Redskins.

The Jets first-team offense stayed out on the field against the Redskins scrubs and this time it paid off with a 15-play, 72-yard drive and seven points.

Actually, six points because kicker Nick Folk missed the point after. The miss sums up the strangeness of the evening nicely.
