Redskins Vs. Texans: Carlos Rodgers Interception Leads To Second Field Goal, 6-0 Score

Stay connected for news and updates

A 35-yard pass from Donovan McNabb to Chris Cooley brought the Redskins into a First and Goal opportunity, but they once again failed to punch the ball in the endzone. Graham Gano scored his second field goal of the first quarter as the Redskins pulled out to a 6-0 lead.

The Redskins had a short field on offense thanks to an interception by Carlos Rodgers. Pressure on the quarterback from LaRon Landry led to the sure-handed Rodgers getting his first interception since 2008.

The Texans started their own drive initially from the 1-yard line as kick returner Steve Slaton stepped out of bounds immediately after catching the ball. This was Slaton's second kick return of his career, and maybe his last.
