NFL Depth Chart: Westbrook In, Scott And Bartel Out

The Washington Post’s Jason Reid is reporting CB Byron Westbrook will make the Redskins final 53-man roster.

Redskins sources: Special-teams standout Byron Westbrook is the fifth corner. Apparently, reports of his demise were greatly exaggerated.

This comes on the heels of an inaccurate report earlier this week which stated Westbrook had been cut prior to the final preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Westbrook is valuable for his special teams prowess and will see some time as the team’s fourth or fifth CB.

Meanwhile defensive lineman Darrion Scott has been released according to the Examiner’s John Keim.

And Redskins Insider is reporting QB Richard Bartel has been cut.

League source confirms Redskins have released quarterback Richard Bartel.

Bartel became expendable after the Redskins traded for John Beck and then signed Beck to an extension earlier this week.
