The Redskins cut several players yesterday, but hoped to retain many of them to play on their eight-man practice squad, which is composed of players who can practice without being counted on the active roster. Those players needed to clear waivers first before they could officially be assigned to the practice squad.
As of right now, it appears three such players have cleared waivers: offensive lineman Will Robinson, linebacker Rob Jackon and wide receiver Terrence Austin.
Robinson confirmed the news on his Twitter account. The news on Austin comes courtesy John Keim of the Washington Examiner, while Paul Tenorio of the Washington Post was the one who first reported the news about Jackson.
