Report: T.J. Houshmandzadeh Deciding Between Redskins, Raiders

It's looking more and more like there's actual fire to the rumors of T.J. Houshmandzadeh coming to D.C. The recently released Seahawks receiver has reportedly narrowed down his choices to the Redskins and the Raiders, according to this report by Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times.

Houshmandzadeh has not returned messages since being released by the Seahawks and becoming an unrestricted free agent. His decision on where to play next season appears to be narrowing down to either Oakland or Washington, according to a source who had spoken with him.

Houshmandzadeh is owed $7 million this season automatically, but the Seahawks are responsible for paying him the difference between $7 million and whatever he would make for another team.

At 32, Houshmandzadeh has clearly lost a step from earlier in his career. He led the Seahawks in receptions last season, but he did not look nearly as explosive as he did with the Cincinnati Bengals. That said, Houshmandzadeh would immediately fill a need across from Santana Moss, and he will likely come cheap for the Redskins.
