Navy quickly responded to Maryland's touchdown run with two big plays to march into the red zone. However, their drive stalled there, thanks to some stingy Maryland defense on third down, forcing a field goal attempt.
Unfortunately for Navy, kicker Joe Buckley couldn't convert. Buckey's field goal attempt from the right hash mark slammed off the left upright, keeping Maryland's lead at 7-0. The Terps will now take over inside their own 20 yard line.
