This game just had to come down to a goal line situation, didn't it? So many of the biggest plays in this game took place on the Maryland goal line, this type of situation was inevitable.
With Navy trailing by three, and under a minute left in the game, Navy once again got the ball to Maryland's door step. But on fourth down, once again, they weren't able to penetrate the Maryland defensive front.
Ricky Dobbs attempted to go off left tackle, but was stuffed by two Maryland players in the backfield. That makes four times that Navy got into the red zone with nothing to show for it. We'll have a more complete re-cap shortly.
On the mean time, you can check out our Maryland blog, Testudo Times, for reaction from the Terps sideline.

the game's impact
Does the Terp win (a) hurt UMd because their offense was so miserable and their defense could only top the Mids at the goal line or (b) hurt Navy since they were favored to win?
