This Saturday the top seniors in college football will take part in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. For more information on the game, you can check out its official website, with information on rosters, game time and history.
The game will feature a lot of players that should interest the Redskins in the upcoming draft. Some names to keep an eye on are Jake Locker of Washington, Stephen Paea of Oregon St., Casey Matthews of Oregon, Colin Kaepernick of Nevada, Andy Dalton of TCU and Von Miller of Texas A&M. Some are players that might interest the Redskins in the first round, while others would represent good value if chosen a little bit later in the draft.
The game itself gives players an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents while gaining great experience playing under a full staff of NFL head coaches. The North squad will be coached by Cincinnati Bengals coaches while the South will be coached by the staff of the Buffalo Bills. Not the best coaching staffs in the world, but I heard the Steelers staff had a prior engagement.
The Redskins should have an opportunity to get some good evaluation of players who might interest them in the coming draft, so hopefully they do all their necessary homework. We'll be updating this stream with practice updates and news from the game itself.
