The Maryland Terrapins will debut a new element of their zillions of football uniforms when they square off against Florida State on Saturday. Coach Randy Edsall announced that the Terps will wear the turtle shell-themed helmet for the occasion, along with white uniforms and black pants. Here are pictures of both, via @RandyEdsall.
To review: the Terps have now worn the following uniform combinations this season:
- vs. Miami: State flag-themes uniforms.
- vs. West Virginia: all-blacks ensemble.
- vs. Temple: gold uniforms, black pants.
- vs. Towson: red uniforms, black pants.
- at Georgia Tech: black uniforms, gold pants.
- vs. Clemson: red uniforms, black pants.
Therefore, this will be the first time that the Terps wear traditional white uniforms, since there's nothing about the season-opening uniforms that you can call "traditional." Perhaps that will spur the Terps to a much-needed win.
