Kriss Proctor Injury Update: Navy QB Out With Hand Injury

Stay connected for news and updates

The Navy Midshipman took a hit to their offense as quarterback Kriss Proctor was apparently injured, according to a tweet by Gene Wang. The Navy beat writer for the Washington Post tweeted the injury news.

QB Kriss Proctor hit late, holding hand and going to locker room with 7:01 left in first half. Sophomore Trey Miller in at QB.

Prior to the injury, Proctor only had 3 pass attempts and only 28 rushing yards for the game but he is a big part of Navy's triple option. Proctor will be replaced by sophomore quarterback Trey Miller who's only played sparingly in his career. He had some mop up duty against Southern Miss completing 2 of 2 passes for 46 yards. He also had a few carries in some other games, but nothing really noteworthy. The quarterback position is vital to the Navy offense, however.

UPDATE: Wang reports that Proctor will not return to the game.
