Navy Vs. Notre Dame Final Score: Midshipmen's Skid Hits Six With 56-14 Loss

The Navy Midshipman continued their losing streak, hitting six losses in a row after being demolished by Notre Dame 56-14. Navy was without their starting quarterback Kriss Proctor, but it likely wouldn't have mattered much as the Navy defense was overwhelmed by the Notre Dame offense. The Irish jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead and after Navy answered with a touchdown, Notre Dame scored 35 straight points to put the game away.

Tommy Rees had 230 passing yards on 21 attempts with a touchdown and interception as wide receiver Michael Floyd had 6 receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. Navy couldn't stop the Irish on the ground, as Notre Dame ran the ball for 189 yards averaging over 5 yards a carry.

Offensively without Kriss Proctor, the Mids had no chance passing the ball, throwing for just 33 yards in the air on 13 attempts. Navy's triple option was also slowed to a crawl. While the Mids did rush for 196 yards, it was for a measly 3.9 yards per carry. In their six straight losses, the Mids defense has given up 20+ points in every game and 35 or more in four of the last five.

The Midshipmen fall to just 2-6 on the season.
