Navy Vs. Southern Miss: Can Midshipmen Bounce Back Against Golden Eagles?

After falling to the Air Force last week, the Navy Midshipmen will host the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday.

The Navy Midshipmen are coming off a heart breaking loss to the Air Force, but there is no rest for the weary and they are right back at it again this weekend against the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss. They will host Southern Miss at Navy Memorial Stadium this Saturday in a game that will start at 3:30 p.m..

Navy is 2-2 on the year after falling to the Air Force, but they really could be 3-1, as we all know. As for the Golden Eagles, they are 4-1 after putting up a 48-24 whooping of Rice last week. The big matchup in this game, as is usually the case with the Midshipmen, is how their opposing defense will be able to handle Navy's rushing attack, which currently ranks as the the fourth most productive in the Nation. Southern Miss' defense has been pretty strong this year, so this could end up being a pretty difficult matchup for Navy.

We'll be following this game all week in this StoryStream.
