Ilya Kovalchuk Injury: Devils Forward Ruled Out Of Both Games Against Capitals

The Washington Capitals will play a weekend home and home series against the New Jersey Devils starting tonight starting in Newark, New Jersey. They get a little bit of a break because the Devils will be without one of their best players in Ilya Kovalchuk, apparently for both contests.

Kovalchuk has two goals and seven assists in eleven games played this year and his presence will certainly be missed during these two games against the Capitals. The Capitals coud be without one of their best defensive players in Mike Green on Friday, so the Devils missing one of their best offensive players should help make things a little bit easier.

We'll have plenty more on these two contest throughout the weekend, but for more on the Capitals check out JJapers' Rink, and for more information on the Devils, head over to In Lou We Trust.
