Navy Vs. San Jose State: Mids Pull Ahead, 24-20

Stay connected for news and updates

After trailing at half time to San Jose State, the Navy Midshipmen battled back in the third quarter. Early on, neither team could really get going offensively until Navy quarterback Kriss Proctor lead an 11-play 65-yard scoring drive. With a combination of big passes and long runs, Proctor moved Navy into scoring range for the field goal to cut the Spartans lead to 20-17.

On San Jose's ensuing drive, the Mids defense forced a quick turnover when Spartans quarterback Matt Faulkner was sacked and fumbled the ball, allowing Navy to take over in scoring range. A few plays later, thanks to a Aaron Santiago 21-yard run the Mids were able to score on a 2-yard touchdown run by Kriss Proctor to take the 24-20 lead.
