Army-Navy Game 2011 Score Update: Malcolm Brown Touchdown Ties Game 14-14 At Half

The Navy Midshipmen are looking for their 10th straight win over the Army Black Knights in Saturday's meeting between the two teams. Army is putting up a tougher fight than expected, as the score is tied 14-14 at halftime.

Navy controlled much of the first half of the game. They picked up the first score of the game with a four-yard rushing touchdown from Kriss Proctor with 1:06 left in the first quarter. Navy was later able to extend their lead to 14-0 with another rushing touchdown halfway through the second quarter, this one by Alexander Teich.

The Black Knights were able to get on the board with 3:34 left in the first half when quarterback Trent Steelman broke off a 34-yard touchdown run to get Army's scoring started and cut Navy's lead to 14-7. Steelman led Army on a long drive for a two-minute drill, culminating with another touchdown run, this one a five-yarder from Malcolm Brown as Army were able to knot the score at 14-14 with 0:49 left in the first half.

Both teams are keeping the ball out of the air as all three scores have come on rushing touchdowns. Navy is going with an exclusive ground attack in the game, as they have yet to throw a single pass attempt. Army likewise has only thrown two pass attempts, with QB Steelman picking up 48 yards on 6 carries.
