The George Washington Colonials (4-8), losers of seven straight games, host the Delaware State Hornets (4-7) Saturday in a New Year's Eve matinee at the Charles E. Smith Center. It will be the Colonials' final non-conference home game of the season.
Within the current seven game skid, George Washington has lost three straight home games by a combined 13 points. In each of those games, the Colonials have valiantly battled back from large deficits only to fall short in the waning moments of the game. Despite the losing streak, juniors Lasan Kromah and David Pellom have played well for coach Mike Lonergan, and will be looked upon to end the losing streak Saturday afternoon.
Delaware State is coming to D.C. on an extremely short turnaround, having just lost to the Georgia Bulldogs 58-51 on Friday evening in Athens, GA. This will be the first ever meeting between George Washington and Delaware State.
