Army-Navy Game 2011: FedEx Field Increases Security For Saturday's Game

Fans are being encouraged to arrive early for Saturday's game between the Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen. It has been announced that the game will feature increased security.

All gates will have increased security, so entry times into FedEx Field in Ashburn are likely to be lengthened. An official press release has compared the security measures for Saturday's game to be similar to those found at airports. There will be metal detectors and fans hoping to gain entry will be asked to empty their pockets. If you plan on attending the game, please allow for this expected extra time to get into the stadium.

Parking lot gates will open at 8:30 a.m., stadium gates will open at 9:30 a.am. and kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Navy are the favorites going into the 112th meeting between the two squads. They'll be trying for their 10th win in a row over Army.
