2011 Super Bowl: Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers Square Off In Super Bowl XLV

We're just minutes away from the 2011 Super Bowl between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Super Bowl XLV will officially kick off at 6:29 p.m. on FOX. It should be one of the most even Super Bowls in recent memory.

The game has already been marred by controversy. Between 6,000 and 9,000 temporary seats were not approved by the fire marshall, putting several fans who bought tickets out of luck. Ticket holders in those seats were reportedly given a letter offering a refund worth three times the price of the tickets. Via Darren Rovell of CNBC.

A refund equal to three times the Face Value of each ticket for which you have in your possession in the affected area. PLEASE HOLD ONTO YOUR TICKET. You will be asked to return the actual tickets to the NFL for such refund. The instructions as it related to the refund will be provided in the hospitality described below.

The seats were worth $900, according to Rick Maese of the Washington Post, so those fans will be refunded $2,700.

The Packers are still favored by three points, according to the latest NFL odds. For more on the gamecommercials and more, visit SBNation.com.
