Any rumors that former Capital Jaromir Jagr could wind up back in DC if he comes back to the NHL were shot down emphatically - and rather wittily - by Caps owner Ted Leonsis. 

In response to a piece from thehockeywriters.com that suggested Washington as a plausible - and very possible - destination for the 39-year-old Czech forward, Leonsis called the site"Fiction writer. NOT hockey writer." He then posted a link to the piece he was referring to.

If nothing else, this exchange shows that Ted Leonsis, 54, who also owns the Washington Wizards, is a pretty awesome blogger. It took him all of five words to completely shoot down the type of shoddy, guess-work conjecture that all too often replaces real journalism and ends up creating ridiculously off-base rumors.

Kudos to you, Mr. Leonsis. We here at SB Nation love it when other blogs make us look good by comparison.
