The 2011 All-Star Game is underway with the AL leading the NL 1-0 and the Washington Nationals lone all-star, Tyler Clippard, came to the mound in the fourth inning.

Clippard is inherited a two men on, two out situation from Philadelphia Phillies starter Cliff Lee. Lee gave up a solo home run to Boston Red Sox all-star Adrian Gonzalez. He then gave up back-to-back singles to Jose Bautista and Josh Hamilton to bring bring in Clippard who was wearing the Nationals home white uniform and blue-bottomed cleats.

After his warm up pitches, Clippard then had Adrian Beltre to contend with. Clippard threw three pitches: all four-seam fastballs, two registering 92 MPH and one at 93 MPH. Beltre unloaded on Clippard's third pitch for a single with Bautista heading home for another run. However Hunter Pence gunned down Bautista at the plate to end the inning.

Clippard was the last non-starter introduced during player introductions and got a modest reception.
