The 2011 Legg Mason tennis tournament kicks off this weekend at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park in North West Washington, D.C.. The field includes a lot of big tennis names, including Gael Monfils, Mardy Fish, Fernando Verdasco, James Blake and last year's champion David Nalbandian. The doubles field features a lot of big name players as well, but is headlined by the Bryan Brothers Bob and Mike.

Unfortunately, arguably the tournament's biggest draw year in and year out Andy Roddick will not be in the field this year as he recovers from an abdominal injury, according to Howard Fendrich. But there will still plenty of people worth seeing, and since the tournament is right in your backyard (presumably) it is still worth checking out.
