Washington Redskins Training Camp: Injury List Is A Long One As The Redskins Head Into Indianapolis

Stay connected for news and updates

ASHBURN,Va - Wednesday morning saw the Redskins making their final preparations for their second preseason opponent, the Indianapolis Colts.

But after practice, the story was about who won't be playing in the game.

Mike Shanahan confirmed that a number of players will not play in Friday's game. That list includes safety OJ Atogwe (hamstring), Laron Landry (achilles), tight end Chris Cooley (knee), Ryan Torain (hand), Malcolm Kelly (foot), Brandon Banks (knee), and likely middle linebacker London Fletcher (groin) and cornerback Josh Wilson (groin).

As for who will play in the game, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said that he'd like to get John Beck as much time in this game (two quarters) as Rex Grossman had in last week's exhibition against the Steelers. The younger Shanahan also said that he'd like to make sure the two competing quarterbacks have an equal amount of snaps so that the quarterback competition can be fairly judged.
