In case you haven't heard, or if you like to read your websites from right to left, Stephen Strasburg got beaten up pretty badly in Hagerstown on Wednesday, giving up five runs in just 1.2 innings pitched. Here is some video of his start from CSN Washington.
As you can see there, Strasburg gets consistently hit hard throughout his outing. He reportedly had the velocity that we are used to seeing, and his breaking ball was pretty sharp, he just couldn't locate it very well. And when you miss your target professional baseball players, even those of the low Class-A Lexington Legends will make you pay for it.
When it was all said and done, it seems like Strasburg was just happy to get through this outing. Because when it is all said and done, just getting through each outing with his surgically repaired arm still intact is the ultimate goal.
