Navy Vs. South Carolina: Can Navy's Midshipmen Slow Down South Carolina's Offense?

The Navy Midshipmen head down to South Carolina this weekend for a matchup with a ranked Gamecocks side. Will Navy be able to slow down their potent offense?

The Navy Midshipmen will face what could ultimately prove to be the toughest test they will face all season when they head down to South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks. The game starts at 6:00 pm, which is kind of an odd start time, and can be seen on ESPN2 and ESPN3.

It is going to be particularly difficult for the Midshipmen to slow down a South Carolina offense that has the ability to be flat out dominant. Stephen Garcia is a wild card under center, but he is flanked by two All-American candidates in Marcus Lattimore and Alshon Jeffery. Lattimore is an absolute load at running back and Jeffery is a very talented red zone target. Quite simply, the Midshipmen don't have anyone on defense who can match up with them. Will they be able to come together as a unit and stop the Gamecocks?

We'll be following this game throughout in this StoryStream. For more on the Gamecocks, head over to Garnet And Black Attack.
