Navy hits the road to face Western Kentucky in a game that will act as a tuneup for the September 17 game at South Carolina.
Navy's Week 1 victory over I-AA opponent Delaware was easy. The Midshipmen's second game promises to at least be a little tougher. Navy will hit the road for a game against Sun Belt foe Western Kentucky on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game is scheduled to be broadcasted on ESPN3.
Navy is coming off a blowout win over Delaware, one that began with a long touchdown run from quarterback Kriss Proctor and snowballed into a 40-17 win. Western Kentucky, meanwhile, is coming off an ugly 14-3 loss to SEC foe Kentucky on Thursday that was more well-known for the wonderful meme that linebacker Andrew Jackson spurred.
The game is ultimately a tuneup for Navy's September 17 game at South Carolina, but Western Kentucky is a trickier foe than Delaware and could challenge the Midshipmen, especially at home. At the very least, Navy won't have nearly as easy a time winning as they did last week.
