The Washington Wizards traveled to Chicago in hopes of picking up their second game in a row after winning the first one of the season against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. The Chicago Bulls were heading into the game shorthanded, as star point guard Derrick Rose was suffering from a turftoe injury. The Wizards entered half time trailing the Bulls just 45-37 and were able to battle back in the third quarter, tying the game and even taking the lead at one point. Chicago turned it on the in fourth quarter however to eventually walk away with the victory without their best player, 78-64.
Jordan Crawford lef the Wizards in scoring in the defeat, picking up 14 points and 3 rebounds off the bench, hitting on 3 of his 4 three-point shot attempts. John Wall picked up 11 points and 8 assists while center JaVale McGee picked up 10 points and 14 rebounds. Rookie first round pick Jan Vesely played just 14 minutes in the game off the bench picking up three rebounds and two blocks, but couldn't get a bucket to fall.
For the Bulls, back up point guard John Lucas had a big night in Rose's absence, scoring 25 points with 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Kyle Korver also picked up 14 points off the bench and Luol Deng added 14 rebounds to go with his 12 points.

It was reported earlier that Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose was going to attempt to play against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night, despite dealing with a case of turf toe. Derrick Rose will likely miss the matchup with the Wizards however, according to a recent report by K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

To replace Rose, the Bulls have signed veteran guard Mike James. James had played just two games in the D-League before being called up and spent the last two seasons playing in China and Turkey.

Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, the league's reigning league MVP, re-aggravated a lingering turf toe injury, but will still play against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night, reports Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago.
"I've been having turf toe since my second year," Rose said, dismissing concerns that he might sit out Wednesday. "I will be playing."
Rose has scored 21 points or more in each of his last seven games against the Wizards, a streak that began on Jan. 15, 2010, when he scored 37 in an overtime victory. Chicago is 6-1 in those contests. In the 2011/12 season, the Memphis product is averaging 20.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and a career-best 8.6 assists per game.
The Bulls, at 9-2, are tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the NBA's best record.

Don't look now, but the Washington Wizards are (sort of) on a roll. Well, at least compared to the way they had been playing so far this season. They are coming off their first win of the year, and head into Chicago with a little bit of momentum. But the Bulls have the reigning MVP in Derrick Rose, so this will be a considerably tougher matchup for John Wall and the rest of the Wizards.
Here is all the information you need to find the game tonight.
Game Date/Time: Tuesday, January 11; 8 p.m. ET
Location: United Center, Chicago, Il.
TV Schedule: CSN+
