The odds of getting struck by lightning are incredibly slim. The odds of Washington Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner fighting were seemingly just as slim, but against the Tampa Bay Lightning, he beat the odds. And possibly Steve Downie. See for yourself below the jump.
That was Downie's 30th career regular season NHL fight. For someone in his first, Alzner held his own.
