Following a concussion he suffered during last Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the Redskins currently have RGIII listed as questionable. It's a status that's raising a flag at the league office, since it has yet to change since the day after the hit occurred.
A spokesman for the NFL has confirmed that the league is looking into whether or not the Redskins adhered to league protocol requiring teams to be accurate in reporting injury information.
The Redskins announced to the media on Sunday that Griffin was "shaken up" following a concussion that the quarterback suffered on third-quarter scramble. Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan told reporters after the game that Griffin had suffered a "mild" concussion.
A tactic every franchise could be guilty of to some degree, NFL injury reports are often sprinkled with ambiguous types of injuries and statuses in an effort to inhibit the game-planing of the following week's opponent.
Questionable or not, Griffin and the Redskins host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
