London Fletcher expected to play Sunday, according to report

London Fletcher's consecutive game streak is intact, according to CBS Sports Insider Jason La Canfora. After being tested for a concussion, London Fletcher will play this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In a storied 15-year career, Fletcher has played in 231 consecutive games, which is a record among active players. The linebacker left last week's game against the New York Giants with a hamstring injury, but a visit to the neurologist on Thursday put the veteran's game status in doubt.

Fletcher practiced fully Friday, with head coach Mike Shanahan reporting that he "felt London was pretty good in practice."

Now in his sixth season with the Redskins, Fletcher played previously with the Buffalo Bills and the St. Louis Rams. He won a Super Bowl in St. Louis, and has been to three consecutive Pro Bowls, dating back to 2009.

The Redskins are suffering on defense this season, giving up 28.6 points per game, good for third-worst in the NFL.
