Redskins vs. Steelers score: Washington trailing, 20-6, at half in Pittsburgh

The Washington Redskins trail the Pittsburgh Steelers, 20-6, after one half at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

Robert Griffin III and the Washington offense have been stifled by the Pittsburgh defense, picking up just 109 yard in the first half. The Redskins have also self-inflicted some of the damage, already dropping six passes in the first half.

Washington got on the board by going for it on 4th-and-goal early in the second quarter, with Griffin III hitting Santana Moss in tight coverage for a 2-yard touchdown pass. Kai Forbath's extra point was blocked, making the score 10-6 Pittsburgh at the time.

The Steelers' offense moved the ball well against the Redskins' defense in the first half, picking up 234 yards and and scoring on four of their five drives. Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdowns, a 1-yarder to Leonard Pope and a 7-yarder to Heath Miller, in the first half while completing 16 of 23 passes for 173 yards. Pittsburgh added a pair of field goals by Shaun Suisham, from 48 and 27 yards.

Griffin III was held to 5-for-13 passing for 58 yards in the first half.

Washington will receive the ball to begin the second half.
