The first Major League Baseball postseason game in the District of Columbia since 1933 will be played in old-style afternoon conditions.

MLB announced Monday afternoon that Game 3 between the Washington Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals will be scheduled to begin at 1:07 p.m. at Nationals Park. The game will be broadcast on the MLB Network, which is sharing responsibilities with TBS on days when multiple playoff games are scheduled for overlapping time slots.

Tentatively, Wednesday's postseason schedule is set to feature Game 4 of the Giants/Reds series (4:07 p.m., Cincinnati leads, 2-0), Game 3 of the Yankees/Orioles series (7:37 p.m., New York leads, 1-0), and Game 4 of the Tigers/Athletics series (9:37 p.m., Detroit leads, 2-0). The schedule of the other games could change, since two of those series could end in three games; however, the Nats appear locked in to an early afternoon start time.

Bob Costas and Jim Kaat will handle the game broadcast on MLB Network. Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler will handle the radio broadcast on 106.7 The Fan, WFED-AM 1500, and WHFS-AM 1580.
