The Navy ground game impressed again as the Midshipmen held off the Bobcats
Keenan Reynolds let someone else have the spotlight for a day. As CEO of Navy Ground Game, Inc., Reynolds puts up gaudy stats and gets national attention for his versatility. But in a 21-10 win over Texas State, some other employees got a chance to run the business.
Noah Copeland carried the ball 17 times for 110 yards and scored two first-quarter touchdowns, giving Navy a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Running back Gee Gee Greene added the third score on a 10-yard dash to ice the game in the fourth quarter. Reynolds didn't stay completely away from the action, at one point getting the Midshipmen down to the Texas State two-yard line with a 37-yard rush, his longest of the day. Navy ran for 407 total yards in the game.
Navy improves to 7-4 on the season as they get ready for their 113th annual game with Army December 8. The Midshipmen are 56-49-7 in the series, having won the last ten meetings. Look for Navy Ground Game, Inc. to be fully operational.
