Monday night, faced with a choice between flipping channels between an 0-11 Wizards team and an unappetizing Monday Night Football match-up or seeing "Skyfall," we opted for 007. (And didn't regret it, since it's a great flick.)
We got home, and were all set to chalk this one up as yet another Wizards loss. And then Andray Blatche got involved. First he asked after the Wizards' health, then he invoked the Almighty, then he celebrated his part in an overtime win against the Knicks, to which he contributed seven minutes and two points. We're fairly sure we contributed more to "Skyfall" than Blatche did to the Nets win.
And then, this happened. If you don't want to listen to the whole 25-minute interview, Bullets Forever has highlighted some of the best bits, like ...
Blatche on soliciting a prostitute: "It was a joke gone bad. She was not dressed as a prostitute."
Blatche on Lapdance Tuesday: "Lapdance Tuesday is not a strip club."
And so on, and so on, and so on. All in all, things between Blatche and hosts Danny Rouhier and Holden Kushner never quite escalated to the point of epic radio confrontation we expected. In future, we suggest that Blatche read the Parable of the Talents, if he hasn't already. No one likes someone who doesn't get the most from what they're given. No one.
