Kobe scored 30 against Washington as the Wizards fall to 3-17

The Lakers snapped their four-game losing streak against Washington on Friday, defeating the Wizards 102-96. Kobe scored 30 to hand the Wizards their second straight defeat. Cartier Martin had 21 in the losing effort for the Wizards, including five three-point buckets. The Wizards fall to 3-17 and have won the fewest games of any team in the NBA.

With a 113-90 win over Charlotte on Thursday, the Atlanta Hawks have tied the Miami Heat for the first in the Southeast division. The Hawks have won 11 of their last 13 games, and only the 17-5 New York Knicks have a better record among Eastern Conference teams.

Orlando surprised the red-hot Warriors, winning 99-85 behind 16 points from J.J. Redick. The Dwight Howard-less Magic are just 9-13 on the year, six games back of the division leaders.

After the loss to the Hawks, the Charlotte Bobcats have lost 10 straight, the longest such streak in the NBA.
