Old Dominion will face Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon in one of four quarterfinal games in the 2012 FCS Tournament.
Just eight teams remain in the hunt for the 2012 FCS National Championship, and by the end of the day on Saturday, the field will be down to four.
Starting Friday night, four quarterfinal games will determine the national semifinalists and Old Dominion will get its shot to advance on Saturday at noon when it hosts Georgia Southern. The Monarchs reached the round of eight by blowing out Coastal Carolina, 63-35. Georgia Southern beat Central Arkansas, 24-16 last week to advance.
All the quarterfinal action starts with the lone Friday night game between Montana State and Sam Houston State. That game kicks off at 8 p.m.
Following Old Dominion's game on Saturday, the action shifts west where No. 1 North Dakota State looks to move one step closer to its National Championship dreams by facing Wofford at 3 p.m.. Illinois State and Eastern Washington round out the day's action with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
The two semifinal games will be played next week, Dec. 14 and 15. The complete FCS Tournament bracket can be found here.
