Friday was a big night for Randy Edsall and the University of Maryland football program. The Terps landed five-star recruit Stefon Diggs, a local product from Good Counsel. As the week progressed, rumors and reports swirled that Diggs was heavily leaning towards the Terps, but Florida and Ohio State remained in the running.
Diggs sent his letter of intent to Maryland earlier in the day but made it officially public at Looney's Pub in College Park, announcing in front of a heavily partisan Terp crowd. As you can see, donning the Maryland hat sent the crowd into a frenzy and they immediately broke into a chant.
