Update: Stephen Strasburg will make his spring debut against the Astros on March 4, while new acquisition Gio Gonzalez will start March 6 against the Atlanta Braves. As for the other potential starters, Tom Gorzelanny will follow Jackson out of the bullpen on the 3rd, Ross Detwiler will follow Strasburg on the 4th, and Craig Stammen will follow Lannan on the 5th. Yunesky Maya will relieve Gonzalez on the 6th, while 2011 draftee Matt Purke will relieve Zimmermann on the 7th and start the exhibition season opener against Georgetown March 2.
Given the amount of starting pitchers that the Nationals have currently, keep an eye on John Lannan's performance on the fifth because that could very well be him pitching for a spot on the rotation.
