The local soccer fans of the Washington D.C. area will get a treat on May 30, as the U.S.A.'s men's soccer team will host Brazil in a international friendly at Fed Ex Field, reports Washington Post's soccer insider Steven Goff.
"A deal is in place and an official announcement might come as early as Thursday, with tickets likely to go on sale next week, the Insider has learned."
The news comes on the same day that the US Soccer Federation announced a Under-23 contest with North American rival Mexico, which will be held Feb. 29 in Frisco, TX.
According to Goff, on the same days as the under-23 squad is playing Mexico the national team is playing Italy in Genoa (2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2) and the women’s national team will face Denmark at the Algarve Cup in Portugal.
