Capitals Vs. Bruins Score Update: Washington Extends Lead To 4-2 After Two Periods

Five minutes into the second period, Boston Bruin Brad Marchand tied the game 2-2 with the Washington Capitals, but Dale Hunter's club responded with two more second period goals and now lead 4-2 entering the third period.

The first goal of the period came on a beautiful feed from Alexander Semin in the corner to Jay Beagle, positioned in front of the net. It was just the second goal of the season for Beagle.

Washington also finally capitalized on a power play opportunity, with Brooks Laich chipping the puck past Tim Thomas for the 4-2 lead at the 17:31 mark of the period. It was Laich's fifth power play goal of the season.

Tomas Vokoun has been solid between the pipes, stopping 18 of 20 Bruins shots.
