Trail Blazers Vs. Wizards: Portland Wins 110-99

A close game at the half, the Portland Trail Blazers pulled away late to defeat the Washington Wizards by a score of 110-99 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The Wizards were attempting to win their tenth game of the season, but Portland outscored Washington 28-23 in the final quarter to secure the victory.

The Wizards had no answer for LaMarcus Aldridge, as Portland's leading scorer dominated throughout. Aldridge finished with 30 points, making 12 out of his 15 field goal attempts. Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton each played a big role in the Blazers win, scoring 23 and 21 points respectively.

John Wall had a solid all around game for Washington, scoring 25 points to go along with 8 assists. Center JaVale McGee also contributed 15 points for the Wizards, but they were ultimately undone by their inability to control Aldridge on the interior. The Trail Blazers were able to overcome the loss of Marcus Camby, who was ejected in the the second quarter after picking up a Flagrant-2 foul for shoving Wizards big man Kevin Seraphin.

This loss dropped the Wizards overall record to 9-30. They will try again to reach double-digits in wins on Monday evening when the visit the San Antonio Spurs.
