2012 Women's NCAA Tournament: Maryland Earns No. 2 Seed, Faces Navy

The Maryland women's basketball team will open the 2012 Women's NCAA tournament as a No. 2 seed in the Raleigh regional. The 2012 Women's NCAA tournament bracket was announced on Monday night.

The Lady Terps will face No. 15 Navy in College Park. The game is scheduled for March 17 at 11:15 a.m. Eastern.

If Maryland wins, it will face the winner of the game between No. 7 seed Louisville and No. 10 seed Michigan State.

Brenda Frese's team finished the season with an overall record of 28-4 (12-4 ACC) and won the ACC Tournament title with a 68-65 win over Georgia Tech, a win which earned them an automatic spot in the field of 64.
