The ACC Conference tournament starts next Thursday, and the Maryland Terrapins will be the No. 8 seed.
The ACC Tournament starts next week, but we already know where the Maryland Terrapins will be slotted into the bracket. Regardless of their result against Virginia on Sunday in their final game of the regular season, the Terrapins will be the 8th seed in the tournament.
With Clemson's win over VT last night, #Terps will be No. 8 seed in ACC tourney. Opener is noon next Thursday. No. 9 seed right now is Wake.

The 8th seed plays the 9th seed in the opening round, and then if the bracket holds will have to face the top seed in the next round. That means facing either North Carolina or Duke in round 2, two teams they are a combined 0-4 against. That is not a good thing for a team that desperately needs a win or two in the Conference tournament to be considered for Postseason play.
But they'll have to focus on their first round opponent first, and we won't know who that is until the regular season has officially wrapped up.
